Kings XI Punjab finally got some pride in their IPL4 campaign when they beat Point table leader and title favorite Mumbai Indians by a huge margin of 76 runs in the 54th match on Tuesday, 10th May, 2011 at Mohali. KXIP made 163/8 in 20 overs and MI all out on 87 runs in 12.5 overs.

Kings XI Punjab got a good start by and reached 92-1 in 12 overs and post a good total of 163/8 in 20 overs thanks to Shaun Marsh who hit 43 runs and Karhik hit 31 runs while Munaf Patel bowled brilliantly took 5 wickets. Mumbai Indians then displayed their worst show and all out on 87 runs as none of the batsmen crossed 20 runs as Bhatt took 4 wickets for 22 runs.
